  Breeders' Cup Turf 2007
   The soft and wet turf didn't seem to mind #6 English Channel, as the
   5 year old thoroughbred pulled away in the stretch to win by 7 lengths
   for owner, James Scatuorchio of Rumson, Jockey John Valazquez, and
   Trainer Todd Pletcher.  It was English Channel's 23rd career win, all on
   the turf, bringing his career earnings to over $4 million.  His reward,
   a new home in Kentucky to enjoy the green grass and a new career as
   a stallion.
