The
Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show 2009
This year's
Best In Show went to "Stump" a 10 year old Sussex
Spaniel from Houston, Texas where he lives with his trainer and
handler, Scott Summer. Summer is also one of his owners. Stump
was in retirement with 50 Best In Shows under his collar and nearly
died in 2004 from a bacteria infection. The champ came out of
retirement a week before this year's show to claim his 51st title
and
became the only Sussex Spaniel and the oldest dog ever to win
Westminster. The first photos are of Stump winning the Sporting
Group and then competing and winning Best In Show.
